13th International Health Records Congress

What is SSL Secure Payment?

SSL Secure  payment is used to ensure security of IFHRO credit card payments.

This service is provided by WebCentral, and affiliate of Ozemail, which is one of Australia's biggest ISP's.

The Secure Sockets Layer protocol, is a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. The protocol allows client/server applications to communicate in a way that is designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, or message forgery.

When you make a payment for the IFHRO Congress, you are participating in an off-line payment system. With an off-line payment system, a customer registers their credit card details on an online form and their order is stored on a secure site. HIMAA accesses the order through a Web Browser that supports SSL Security. HIMAA then processes these Credit Card Details using their existing credit card facilities.
