| Are you interested in a
career combining health, management and computing? Health information management may be the career you are seeking. Positioned at
the heart of the health care system, health information managers' (HIMs) professional
responsibilities cover the collection, storage, analysis and distribution of healthcare
information.
HIMs contribute both to the healthcare system and to
peoples health by providing the information systems and data central for medical
decision making and patient care planning.
HIMs coordinate many kinds of healthcare information,
from a variety of sources.
Some are paper based, but increasingly, they are in the
form of electronic patient records. |
