Product Specialists - Clinical Administration Products, InterSystems Corporation, Sydney.

InterSystems Corporation are currently looking for experienced Product Specialists with extensive domain knowledge and experience to work both with developers and customers to influence the direction of our Clinical and Administration products. This role is based in Sydney.

Product Specialist should have a track record of producing product requirements and use cases and participating with engineers on developing prototype and total solutions. This includes: 

  • Scoping and planning of new developments as needed. 
  • Working with end users and internal staff to understand workflow processes that impact change request requirements to ensure implementation of developed changes satisfy stated needs. 
  • Prepare and deliver product material, product presentations and demonstrations as needed to support knowledge sharing, learning, pre-sales and customer requirements. 
  • Provide business analysis of problems and new requests. 
  • Develop use cases or product requirements and functional requirements for new functionality. Support QA, training, and documentation in understanding new functionality. 
  • Collect, synthesize and prioritize customer feedback, using a combination of live customer feedback sessions and additional feedback mechanisms.
  • Participate in project teams with developers and other key staff to develop new functionality for the product.

Cancer Council Victoria is seeking an experienced Project Officer to undertake and manage a range of projects relating to the work of the Victorian Cooperative Oncology Group (VCOG).

In consultation with the Executive Officer, the Project Officer will develop and implement initiatives to support the work of the committees, foster new ideas and identify research and continuing education opportunities to extend the activities and influence of VCOG.

The successful applicant will be degree qualified in a scientific or medical field with experience in formal meeting procedure, skills in development and delivery of continuing education programs and experience of the Victorian health service delivery system.  With the ability to organise seminars and conferences, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organised and possess strong leadership skills.

Area Coding Manager - (Full Time) -  Northern Sydney Central Coast Health, Sydney, NSW

Salary: $1,687.44 - $1,766.20 per week

The newly established position of Area Coding Manager is responsible for leading the area's management and completion of the coding for inpatient separations by the designated deadline as well as responsibility for maintaining a high level of quality of data and education of clinical staff on coding and case-mix funding.

This position is an area wide position and services all sites within NSCCH and may require travel across NSCCH.

In addition to leading the Coding Services team, this position may assist the Health Information Management Service functioning within the area and therefore has direct and indirect reporting relationships.

A key function is to support facility health information managers in educating clinical staff to understand the clinical coding process, its use in evidence based decision making, casemix and impact on episode funding as well as well as the provide expert advice and ensure relevant coding education and support is in place within the district to maximise revenue in a case-mix environment.

The CEC operates 4 major research programs:  Health 2020, a study of diet, health and lifestyle and genetics and risk of cancer and other chronic diseases; the Prostate Cancer Program, a number of studies exploring gene-environment interactions and the risk of prostate cancer; The Diet & Nutrition Program, the development of dietary assessment methodology for epidemiological studies and a dietary assessment service to researchers and the Consortium for Inherited Renal Malignancies (CONFIRM).

The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of data management and the release of data for research.  This position involves the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies for the efficient and accurate management of CEC Research data.  In addition, this position is responsible for the optimal management and supply of data.  Other responsible for maintaining the data collections.

Degree qualified in Health Information Management, Information Technology, Database Management or a related field with at least 5 years experience in managing large datasets for research will be required.  You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in supervising staff and excellent report writing and strong documentation skills.  Experience in an epidemiology or public health research environment is also required.

This is a full-time position.

The Centre for Health Record Linkage (CHeReL) is jointly managed by the Cancer Institute NSW and NSW Health.  It is hosted by the Cancer Institute NSW, the NSW Government's lead cancer agency.  The CHeReL has been established to provide record linkage services in NSW and the ACT and provides key infrastructure to support health research, and the planning and evaluation of health services.

In this role you will be required to oversee the day to day operations of the CHeReL including acting as Manager where necessary; managing the provision of record linkage services to clients; providing technical supervision for staff; providing advice to staff, data custodians, researchers and other stakeholders on the technical, legal, privacy and ethical issues in record linkage.  You will also be required to represent the CHeReL on external committees and communicate and promote the work of the CHeReL.

To be successful in this role you will have appropriate tertiary qualifications in a health related discipline, experience in a research, clinical or population health environment and experience using SAS to manipulate large administrative datasets for health research or evaluation.  You will also have an understanding of data linkage and the capacity to use data extraction tools and well developed interpersonal skills in communication, negotiation and consultation.

The Monitoring Evaluation and Research Unit is responsible for a range of activities to meet the Institutes reporting requirements.  This includes regular reporting for Divisions and Units, analytical support for reporting and special projects, and collaboration and advice on the design and development of methods to evaluate programs and projects.  The Unit also operates a statistical and epidemiological consultancy service and is integral to building research capacity within the institute.
Other key functions include the design, development and refinement of information systems to support the Institute's monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities.
