About the HIMJ  
 
Health Information Management Journal is the refereed, journal of the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) Ltd. The HIM Journal is published in hardcopy and electronic formats.  

The journal aims to promote the discipline of health information management through the provision of a forum for presentation of original research, short communications, reviews and commentaries.  

Topics covered by the journal include: 

- health informatics
- confidentiality
- electronic patient records
- management issues
- public health issues
- standards, accreditation and quality assurance in the health sector
- state and national health data issues
- casemix and clinical coding


The HIM Journal is the major health information management journal published in Australia, the pacific and Asia.

The scope of HIMJ covers empirical research, management perspectives, workforce planning, practical experience, product technical reviews and applicable newsworthy commentary.

HIMJ is managed by the HIMAA Editorial Board. 

Unsolicited contributions to the Journal are welcome.

Subscription to HIMJ is available to individuals and Institutions/Organisations/Libraries.

Subscription provides the HIMJ in hardcopy format as well as providing access to the HIMJ Online (including back copies).

Multiple online access is available to Institutional/Organisational/Library subscribers.

Subscription Rate

Subscription is valid for 12 months from date of receiving full payment.  No discounts are available for part year subscriptions.  Subscription rates are subject to revision.
