| Vicki Bennett - President | |
|
|
Vicki has a diverse background in both public and private hospitals, city and rural settings in Australia. She has recently undertaken a number of consultancies in the Pacific, including Vanuatu, Tonga and Fiji, where she has spent much of the past 3 years. Vicki has a degree in Health Information Management, and a Masters in Health Informatics and has worked as an educator for both The University of Sydney and the National Centre for Classification in Health. Vicki was previously the Manager of the Information Strategy Section at Medicare Australia, and has recently left her position as Head of the Health Care Safety and Quality Unit at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare to take up a new role for the School of Population Health at the University of Queensland as Technical Director of the Health Information Systems Knowledge Hub. |

Kerryn Butler – Henderson - Senior Vice President |

Kerryn graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science (Health Information Management) from Curtin University of Technology. Kerryn has worked mainly in clinical research positions since her graduation, including coordinating the PET/Cyclotron Service research office for Western Australia. Kerryn is now a lecturer in Health Information Management and course contact for the postgraduate Health Informatics program at Curtin University of Technology. Kerryn has been an active member of HIMAA for many years, sitting as an executive member of the WA Branch in positions including Secretary, President and, until recently, Vice-President. |

Natalie Sims - Junior Vice President |

Natalie graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science, Health Information Management from Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. She has held various positions including, Health Information Manager at John James Hospital a 150 bed private hospital and as the Metadata Manager for the Information Service Branch at ACT Health. She is currently working at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare as a Project Manager in the METeOR and Metadata Unit. Over the past 6 years she has been actively involved at the local ACT HIMAA Branch serving as Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President and the ACT representative on the National HIMAA Executive Committee. Over the last 3 years Natalie has also been involved in organising HIMAA symposiums and Conferences. |

Stefan Perkovic - Treasurer |

Graduated in 2000 with Bachelor degree in Health Information Management from the University of Sydney. Stefan is a current active member of HIMAA, including past president of the NSW Branch (2003-2005). Stefan represents the profession on various committees, including Health Service Union, Health information Management Professional Vocation Committee (Chair). Stefan's previous positions include:

Anna Coote (BA [Macquarie] 1972, AssDip MRA [Cumberland] 1979, Dip Tert Ed [New England] 1986, MHP [New South Wales]) 1990 is the Managing Director of Prime Care Pty Ltd., working in both the public and private health sectors in clinical classification and Health Information Systems. Anna started her career in HIM as a lecturer at Cumberland College and subsequently at the University of Sydney over an 11 year period, after which she established the first coding company in Australasia. Anna has worked overseas on assignments in Health Information Management for AusAID, WHO and the British Council in Asia, the Middle East, and the Western Pacific Region. |
| Claire Pierce - Member | |
Claire Pierce has more than twenty years of administrative experience in the health sector. This experience spans health information management, project and general management. Claire has been with Southern Health and its antecedent hospitals for 18 years. With an initial year managing Health Information Services at Moorabbin Hospital, she then went on to a range of general management positions including Site Manager Moorabbin Hospital, Manager General Services Monash Medical Centre and Manager Corporate Services Southern Health. Claire has the following qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Record Administration, Graduate Diploma in Health Services Management and a Master of Business. Claire Pierce is currently the Director of Health Information Services at Southern Health and was the instigator and change leader for the Scanned Medical Record solution at Southern Health. She has joined the HIMAA Board on the 10 October 2008. |
